    主讲人简介：GARY GORDON SIGLEY，北京师范大学地理科学学部人文地理教授。1997年至2017年就职于澳大利亚西澳大学中国研究教授，曾任西澳大学孔子学院的首任院长五年（2007年至2012年），在2009年被孔子学院总部授予先进个人奖（Outstandin Individual Award）。

    讲座简介：

    The 21st century brings a multitude of challenges for humanity, making it essential to reconsider the concept of civilization. At this pivotal moment in our collective history, thoughtful reflection is needed to ensure civilization remains inclusive, productive, and positive. This presentation explores the history of civilizational theory and practice, aiming to revitalize the concept for contemporary relevance and global progress.
